Summer of Cricket thread

Hurricanes won easily! I was slack at the start, and couldn't even get tickets as a Cricket Tas Member! They didn't reserve that many seats for Members.

Saw the last part of Owen's innings. Wow! I thought it was a 42 ball hundred, but 39 balls seems incredible! I've seen Owen play quite a bit of Shield cricket, and he can be a punishing batter. I'd never thought he could score a ton this quickly in T20 though.

Other members at the ground texted me Meredith was effective. Good to hear! Hope it transfers to the Shield.

His brother, Wes Agar, is a pretty fiery, quick opening bowler for South Aus, but his action takes a lot out of him. He emits a huge grunt as he releases the ball. Wes looks a better national team prospect than Ashton ATM.
Made a huge mistake here. Wes Agar bowled last night and is a right arm pace bowler with a shaven head/short hair.

The left arm fast bowler opening the attack for South Aus in the Shield was a barrel chested guy with a mop of black hair. Not sure who he is now? He was quite impressive.

Spencer Johnson, only left armer I know plays for SA.

Dont you know as he is from your state and a rare home grown good'n too DC.
Hearing he scored three tons in the BBL, not sure how correct that is.
Don’t follow T20, Baggers.

Owen averages 36 in Shield this season from 6 games. Has taken 7 wickets.

67 runs after 10 overs - incredible!

Orthodox, stylish, conventional cricket shots too - not cross bat slogging.

Vandersay getting prodigious turn - like Warne, MacGill, Shah or Qadir.

Big wrist spinner.

A very good day's cricket for Aus. Well done, Usman and Smith.

Vandersay only really turned the ball prodigiously on one occasion - when I was watching. It was something like his third ball. I don't know why that ball turned so much? Vandersay would have been a handful to the right handers if it had continued.
