Oh man I know slipping happens but Behich and his runs.... Ryan went long and they gave it to us in a tricky area. I think we've forgotten how to let Asia make those mistakes.

Remember the days when we'd pepper the box and they'd slip or parry it to us? Happens regularly still.
 
Miller is a very unaware and reactive footballer. Doesn’t read the play at all.
 
Amazing sport football. Every game with its own 90 and we can switch on and adapt to frustrate Japan but then here we have some lapses.
 
Matthews to me has started well. Looks very calm and collected. Just confidently moving thr ball forward.
 
Amazing how on the old forum half a year ago I was demanding someone like Matthews play ahead of any import (not knowing his potential rather to give local lads a run out) and here he is starting in a hostile away environment looking sound. 1 game but that's his start.

Relief we've got him and Geria. Rowles not even named tonight.

Australian defensive debuts have generally looked excellent. Remember Thwaite against Jamaica being excellent.

Burgess and Rowles really tidy. Og came in very tidily.

I watched De Vere live against Germany and he was sturdy.
 
Thank god they're slipping too. First Caceres error but the slide tackle earlier was great.

Need Caceres to be given the ball. Still not enough urgency. Wonder about pass numbers and also something of a tempo measure. Game seems slow.
 
I swear Miller gets most TV close ups. Bloke is always involved.
 
That's terrible by Caceres there. Miller with 15m of space and Goodwin Also and he stutters and slows and turns backwards. Maybe the Bahrain players were cutting the lines more than we could see.

Our set plays aren't much.
 
Poor corners so far. The corners should be being whipped in, not floated where it is easy for the keeper.
