A-league attendances 24/25

Except not all histories carry the same validity or weight, now do they?
Unfortunately for the financially unviable A League franchise competition it's starting to feel like the end of history.....

How long will it survive in it's current state??

3 years tops?

How long will the franchise owners throw good money after bad???

The clock is ticking and it's getting louder by the week.

Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock....

I give it 2 years tops!, no way the clubs can live off $500k a year for another season or two. ALM will either crash and burn or the APL will pull a rabbit out of its ass and fix this.

2 years tops? Harsh.....

Mind I reckon obtaining the financial reporting statements of the A League franchises would make interesting reading. I assume they are all proprietary limited companies?

I might have a sticky beak.....

Glad I'm enjoying the 20K at SFS for Sydney FC v Melb Victory while it's lasting.
When it goes back to 2K for the ethnic clubs as our premier league in Australia like they were in NSL days. It will be difficult to follow.

There's a certain rumour going around that the Gold Coast Knights might be interested in competing in the NST when it eventually becomes a reality. 🤔

Scott McDonald has been appointed as Technical Director and it seems like they are quite ambitious.

The Croatian Sports Club, the central hub of the Croatian community in the Gold Coast region are cashed up and ready to explore new opportunities.

Probably the most self sustained football club in Queensland.

GC Knights v South Melbourne or Sydney United or Sydney Olympic or Marconi.....

Oh dear!

And Gallop gave Geelong the franchise, not Tas.

Aloisi is getting it together on the pitch for Western though and is developing plenty of young players.
How tf is that a bad number? They own their own stadium at least.

Apparently Auckland FC have already more attendance at home games than the whole history of the Knights. Shows if you do the same thing again in the A-League but properly it can work.

So so so over the pointless argument over NSL or A-L.

What I do know about this year is we have 7 clubs with an average over 10k.

Plus Roar, Perth, and Newcastle all capable of averaging over 10k.

Also, crowds last year grew by about 7%, and this year averaging over 9.8k up over 1800 on crowd averages last year without finals.

Steady growth is better IMO, than a rapid growth followed by a decline.

Finding it overly hard to continue to hide those complexes about the efniks yet again hey???

I don’t think they own a stadium, the Ironbark Fields ground is not exactly a stadium and is council owned as far as I’m aware.
I am not sure 100% about the commercial arrangements, but it seems far better than most clubs in the AL.

Every single South Melbourne fan would love for SM to be testing themselves and playing in the “hated” big time fully-professional A-League against A-League teams, perhaps even jagging the odd win to go with a the floggings, instead of year after year in the part-time semi-pro NPL. It’s their ultimate dream but that’s never to be truthfully and openly admitted………ssssssshhhhhhhh
Crickets…………

No shit we want to compete in the a-league or any incarnation of a national top flight league.

I'm an ethnic myself, was not born in this country. Give you a hint, Ronaldo, Figo my fav players.
And you have mentioned that previously, it hasn't been hidden. My Ex had some Portuguese blood in her, so my kids are a mix of olive skinned and blue eyes, to very white with freckles and dark brown eyes. Its funny how the genes trickle through :).
