A-league attendances 24/25

Not really ... direct post was as below ... not sure where you saw any mention of Anglo OR Greek ... try and argue the point without bringing ethnicity ion it for once, its getting a little tiresome, it IS 2025.

What a tough question, AL or AFL or NRL...ive not ever given nor would ever give a dime to ANY of the above to be honest (not even free tv time).... NSL then, NPL/and NST now only, otherwise peppa pig it would be gladly... to put it more bluntly im more likely to go watch Preston or Heidelberg (and thats saying it all right there! 🤣) than any of the 3!
But hey, i dont sugar coat my dislikes nor the reasons for them! Lol
FMD, you use ethnicity all the time when you mention why the Lakers not being in the A league. You need to practice what you preach.

Well I do it to point out the unfathomable racism that still exists in Australian football (if not society as a whole)... you just glorify that very same racism... let it go mate, everyone (bar you it seems from your posts) is a proud Australian here.... You dont have the right to tell us otherwise.

I am not Australian. And i call bullshit on that call. Says who, i don't have the right ?

Enjoy you community shield this weekend.

I know P&R involves problems with the way the A League licence system is constructed, but I agree with Hillbilly 55, that the problem with A League is staleness. It has become claustrophobic. No risk, no energy. The way I see it, we have 3 problems, in this order of priority:

- inappropriate stadiums, a disaster for the promoting the competition
- the salary cap, means we can never complete in Asia, which reinforces stagnation of the competition and negative perceptions of the quality of the League
- lack of P&R, which means stagnation, loss of interest, and a lack of consequence for poor performance, which undermines the integrity of the comp.

I can't see any of these being resolved, to be direct. I've been a rusted on supporter of the comp since, literally, game 1, and this year I have not watched a single full game. I watch mini matches of the best games, but I'm losing interest in even those. I recognise that is in part because I'm older, my kids no longer play, and I have other things that take my time now, but the overriding factor is the lack of anything at stake in the comp. It's like watching a fairground carousel going round and round and round, the same horses all the time. There's no edge to it.
Good comment. Agree with the first half of your post but not the last paragraph.

I'm getting a bit frustrated with this thread. I'm having to read past a lot of posts to get to crowd figures at weekly AL games.

There are some other guys on here engaged in a different football conversation. It is an interesting football convo per se, but can you take it to another thread, please? It is derailing the crowds in attendance at weekly A L games - probably inadvertently on your part.
