Australian transfers 24-25 winter

Not too much. I am interested in the academies being stood up in USL which is starting - but if MLS has taught me anything its that it just takes time (10+ years) - so may be awhile before any impact is had. There is a new USL League 1 team starting in a nearby state (the only professional club in the state) - I'll be keeping an eye on that and rooting for it to do well.

I'm interested in watching as the Australia NST comes together mainly through this forum : ) I think that will be a big unlock.
Just an FYI "rooting" something means a totally different thing to us Aussies :P

how much difference did the usa 2nd tier make in improving american football?

All good with Gersbach. Always hindsight but you wonder again how he may have turned out while honing his craft for 5 or so full A League seasons. At the same time the iron may cool and suitors abroad lose interest.

Once again it's clubs overseas panning for gold with very little downside for themselves.

It may not have panned out career wise but what a cool bunch Countries Gersbach played in. I'm sure he's had some great life experiences from it.

Rowles to DC United confirmed. Follows in the illustrious footsteps of Danny Allsopp haha. I don't mind it but the travels gonna suck.

is it worse coming from usa or from europe?
I think he may mean domestically. No different to A League when flying is required but the Mariners have a decent corridor not requiring flying. Lots of airports though.

I'd imagine flying to Australia across the international date line may be a big flip on the body clock. When you leave Sydney you arrive in LA 3 hours before you left.

Westerlo just added a Danish keeper on loan. Wonder what that means for those Gauci rumours.

Rowles deal done. Stuff the haters.
In all honesty Rowles has stagnated in Scotland.

He was improving fast playing for CCM in the AL, was our best Socceroo CB for some time and at a young age. Now in the back three all of Souttar, Geria, Circati and Burgess are playing better.

We've had quite a discussion in another thread about best leagues for Aussies to play in.

I think Rowles is going to something like DC United.

What I'm thinking is the US often playing such close fought games in WCQs against Mexico, the latter verging on being a powerhouse, like Japan, might indicate the MLS is better for development for the Aussie national team than Scotland, outside Rangers and Celtic. They might play in summer too in the MLS, on hard true pitches, unlike the boggy Scottish pitches.
