Sam Kerr

yes its pretty woeful - scared for their lives in the cab, like come on you 2 we're pissed as.
This special lady on the pitch is no saint off it thats for sure, I agree verreli she is being exposed and called out real shame for our W football.
Has that similar stupid behaviour outlook made by Bozza - this will stick forever.

Yeah but this is an own goal.... She should have just pleaded guilty, copped a fine and apologised chalking it down to "eh I was a little drunk, Im sorry" .... Like Muz says, we can all relate and if anything many football fans would just forgive it ...

ALL that was positive about women's football in this country is going to take a massive hit now, all for the ego of one little girl ...

hey AFL/NRL have heaps of issues over the years as we all know - some are swept under when they can some not, drugs, racism, domestic violence you name it is out there - though their leading bodies can control/deflect/through their supporting media And the news is Oz specific and people move on.

Don't think this fucks ourselves, its fucked her reputation more than anything.
W football will keep going forward its a blimp bad press for Sam Kerr, she is scared for life.
I wonder IF Chelsea will stick by her.
The FA have to strip Captaincy innocent or not from the court case, how she represents herself sure isn't worthy of a Captain.
A good balanced Captain would apologise and cop the wrongs and go down with the ship,

The FA built the whole brand Matildas "Till its done pty ltd" around her man.. They have sold more jerseys with #20 to little girls than ANY other player male or female... this will put mums and daughters off....

100% they do mate, nor argument there... They are better at protecting their "stars" and can lead the conversation a lot better than football can.

I dont think what Kerr did was that horrifying either and agree lets wait to the trial ends but, and again this is my opinion, I dont think it was a smart move for the Matilda brand (which is built around empowering mums and daughters to bond through sport) to glorify Sam Kerr as the poster girl.... so many other players with integrity and character....

The fa didn't pick her though. She was the best player at the time by far her only competition maybe is catley or carpenter but defenders don't really get a high profile like the strikers do.

These days I reckon Mary Fowler deserves the spotlight

Fowler is my favourite player and deserves the spotlight. Shame the only press she gets is for dating an Easter Island statue.

Some players are that good as Melbournecity guy says, they promote themselves & Maradona, Warnie & Kerr attracts the headlines.
Lisa De Vanna, good old Portuguese girl, was foul mouth, dirty player, highly opinionated & vindictive but a damn good player.

just to set the pick mention, she was/is picked as Captain, therefore your chosen to be the leader of the team and used as the spokesman for the NT and supporters follow accordingly.
Sometimes the Best players are not the Best leaders - hence a leading CB or mid quite often is for eg.
Anyway whats done is done, it no matter what the final outcome is - there's enough disrespectful evidence on vid the mud will stick.
