Yeah for sure. In my experience, ive been around sports for a long time now and it seems to be a consistent trademark with our coaches in general. Ive noticed a significant lack of initiative, being overly conservative or too scared to move the chess pieces around when they need to. Rather than taking the required calculated risk, learning from the past and using their gut instinct to make the changes they know they should.
I know you and Richie are essentially cricket fans, but recent Socceroos coach, Tony Popovic, has made some fascinating selections in his short tenure - in key world cup qualifying matches. Some have really paid off too!
