The issue I'd have with Ange's recruitment at this level is he's spent most of his career working with mediocre footballers, so wouldn't recognise talent if he saw it.

Werner was definitely an Ange pick because he scored against Celtic in 2022.

They have a whole football dept. DOF, Scouting network etc.

Ange sits down with said dept once shortlists are made to be an "approver" before it gets to Levy and the board to try iron out a deal.

Don't think Ange has the time to run the recruitment.

I bet when Ange stepped off the coach and walked into the little ramshackle ground at Tamworth he must have thought to himself "Fuck me I'm back in the NSL" 🤭

Actually the commentator made a very good point about Ange Postecoglou. He said although Ange gets a bit prickly in his post game media interviews you can tell he's a genuine football man. Loves the game and particularly the FA Cup type competitions and it showed when he arrived pre match at Tamworth.

Now we're out of the Cup I'd love to see Ange get Spurs to the final - I'd love to see him walk Tottenham out at Wembley with his team.

Don't think a loss to Arsenal at the Emirates changes much for Ange. I think it was to be expected given current league positions despite Arsenal being off the boil recently.

Spurs could barely string 2 passes together.

Spence is showing he is a natural full back whereas Porro and Udogie have looked like wingers who have been shoe-horned into fullback positions, they are defensively clueless. Also Dragusin is horrid playing out from the back, I reckon Milos Degeneck would have been a better signing for what it's worth, and that's saying something.

Having said that, the look of resignation in his post match interview tells me he knows he's gone.
