I don’t think spurs have the quality tbh. It’s not Ange’s fault. They don’t have the depth either.

Sarr, Johnson, Bissouma are arguably not big 6 quality.
 
Yeah I think last year having no Europe probably paved over some issues around the depth in the squad. This year he got rid of even more and didn't replace many.

4 guys that were let go and I don't think he ever replaced them:

Emerson Royal
Sessegnon
Reguilon
Perisic

40m for Archie Gray looking a bit ridiculous atm.

Their GF/GA is on the same/close plane from 2nd to 9th places !
Ipswich loss is no diff to LFC losing to Forest earlier this season let alone City dropping games of late, now look at Arsenal.
Shit happens, I get the ongoing pressure Spurs have lacked delivering barring the CL final vs LFC few seasons back.
As I've mentioned its a thin squad, the bench players and youth are not to the standard what LFC/City/Arsenal/Chelsea have though despite this their top 12/13 are good enough its the application hence the talk of inconsistancy.

Agree with most of this except the Forest part. They are having a great season.

They don't have the squad to compete on all fronts.

This season they have two choices:
1) Play for the cups or;
2) Play for Top 4

They won't and can't achieve both.

Top 8 with a Cup would actually be a good result.

true they are great to see but the LFC game was just 4th of the season @ Anfield that only a massive punter would have picked them for the win therefore considering the Spurs/Ipswich was 11 games in and table standing it is shit happens :)
 
Spurs win 4:0 at City. So clear that Guardiola teams can't handle being attacked. Remember when Norwich beat them and they didn't know what to do. Absolutely battered them.

Guardiola signs a new deal midweek but that's 5 losses in a row. Club panicked and wanted to signal something?

Spurs sat back in the 2nd half and City never really looked that dangerous
 
If the Spurs fans cant see what can be done with Ange they don't deserve him. Was not his best 11 either and how many managers can say they beat Pep twice in a month?

Actually, maybe the Manchester City game is telling us what Ange's best backline is - namely Dragusin with Van de Ven, i.e. anything without World Cup winner and Copa America winner Romero.

Spurs are currently top goal scoring team in the Premier League - with 27 goals (GF) -- let that sink in -- but they've been leaking goals are crucial moments. What about Romero out so he has to fight for his place -- and Dragusin in. (That'll cause Romero to get in a huff, and shove off to Real Madrid).

Next they'll drop points to Fulham on Monday and the "Ange out"voices will start coming out again.... They are a mental fanbase.

Huge result against City though...
 
yep and this is the game they need to get on winning for yep they'll be bringing the pitch forks out again.
Like the LFC win late this morn - played ordinary but got the result.
Spurs need to do similar.

Difference is, a squad like Liverpool knows how to grind out a result even when things don't start well... Ange's squads sometimes fly really high ... but the lows can be really low.....
