Gold Coast should have never been kicked out fwiw

For context, when Gold Coast joined the league, the population was 537,348. It is now around 742, 600. Plus it was one hell of an away destination and would have attracted huge numbers of Auckland and Wellington away.

The Macarthur/Camden region is a huge catchment area and growing and already has a alot of football participants around there. Problem is none of them give a flying fuck about the Rams because they completely and totally failed to connect with the grass roots.

Without being too ‘picky’ they are the ‘bulls’. The MacArthur Rams play in the NSWPL and are a totally separate entity to MacArthur Bulls.

All that Clive needed to do as club-owner w/no ⚽️ knowledge in his personal life(by his own admission) was be the sugar-daddy delegating the actual football matters to ppl qualified to deal w/them..but didn’t. Instead he wanted his fingers in all the pies and it ended in tears for all concerned👎🏼
 
Was also reading about Team 11. I thought that City had shamelessly stolen Team 11's ideas for the southeast of Melbourne, but it seems Team 11 actually teamed up with City a few years ago. Dandenong council are still very keen to get that stadium built next to the train station. I'd love to know the hold up... I'm guessing the government is ignoring the funding request.

I kind of just want 14 aus based teams so we can in theory have as many pathways as the nsl era

Then a full h and a nyl and we might finally start seeing a functional production line again

Wow this is super amazing, interesting how the term 'mainstream' is used and floating created teams in place of South and Knights. Where did you find this? Are there more treasures from Australian football obscurity we can try and search for?
